LSU wanted this game more than Iowa. According to the coaching staff the morning of the game the girls decided among themselves to wake up at 4:30 am and had a 5 am shoot around and work out. All while Iowa slept nice and comfy at the hotel.

Jasmine Carson won that game for LSU. Great defense also by LSU. Caitlin got her points, but the defensive pressure didn't allow her to get her teammates going. With Reese on the bench in foul trouble, if Jasmine didn't have an amazing game and the defense on Clark by Morris, Iowa would have won that game. LSU had a great game plan. Pressure Caitlin the entire game. She turned the ball over a few times and her handles isn't crisp, so that also forced her to create multiple offensive foul. Again, Jasmine Carson was the reason they won that game. All of the other players were struggling with their shots. Bad coaching on the part of Iowa. They should have have tightened up defense on Jasmine, because she was on a hot streak. Take pressure off of Clark by having the point guard being the sole ball handler and only have Caitlyn coming off screens and nothing else. Don't let her create her own shots. Just soley coming of screens. That would have limited Caitlyn's so many turn overs and offensive fouls. Bad luck for Iowa was LSU's bench played better than their starters.
I was cheering for LSU in this game and I was totally against Caitlin getting that tech. But I was today years old when I realized she tossed the ball out of bounds as the ref was coming to get it. It all makes sense now…. that's a tech… even for my middle schoolers.

We loved basketball 🏀. Women are the best, every Louisiana has talent in soorts in their family, it in our gene. My career was to be s professional basketball player first, then a model cane next. Well life took another term, but cant wait to have the baby and we go practice again. I haven't played since Savannah , Georgia.
This was definitely one of the worst officiated games I've watched in basketball, and I've watched a lot. Not to sound sexist, but get the guy refs in there. They ruined this game for both sides.
