Why strip the paint? How come you just can't sand blast it off, and clean at the same time?
Was there a reason for burning off the nets? I mean, it looks really cool but it seems like it could have been done by cutting the green thread.
This reminds me of my grandparents 1973 Cadaco BASKET set.

I think the only problem I really think I have is the missed opportunity to add some padding to reduce the noise since it’s quite the loud gizmo, but it’s still a very beautifully done restoration over all 😮

Amazing production value and attention to detail in your restorations! VERY impressive! As a restorer of antique pipe organs, this shows us to be of a peculiar and particular "tribe", let us say. I can only speak for myself, but I find our "throw-away" culture to be frustrating. This channel has a point to make. That many times what we might think as "trash" might be worth a second look and some consideration. Not to just dismiss it because it is "old".
